Don’t Just Look, SEE!

Unlocking the Vision to Recognize God’s Messages

Discover how to move beyond the surface to

truly perceive the divine in everyday life.

Introduction: The Call to See with Spiritual Eyes

In a world overflowing with distractions, it’s easy to “look” at life but not truly “see.” To see is to perceive with spiritual clarity, recognizing the divine hand at work in the seemingly mundane. The Bible reminds us in Matthew 7:7, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.” This call to seek is not just about physical searching but about an inner awakening—a willingness to see with the eyes of faith.

This journey of learning to see can be life-changing, as I discovered through a profound encounter that redefined my relationship with God and my understanding of His messages. This is my story of seeing beyond the surface and the divine revelations that followed.

The Moment That Changed Everything

Earlier in my spiritual walk, I kept hearing God tell me to “see and not just look.” I didn’t fully understand the depth of this command, but I trusted Him and stayed open to His guidance. Then came a day when this message became undeniably clear.

The Scene Unfolds

I was working as a handyman, tasked with sanding and repainting an outdoor fuse panel cover at a client’s home. It seemed like an ordinary job—until I arrived and noticed something extraordinary. Mounted on the wall, right next to the fuse panel, was a windchime unlike any I had ever seen. It wasn’t just an object; it was a message.

The windchime featured a lock with a key sticking out of it, instantly reminding me of Simon Peter, who is often depicted with keys as a symbol of his spiritual authority. Weeks prior, the theme of Peter and keys had repeatedly surfaced in my life, as if preparing me for this moment.

Hanging from the windchime were three transparent crystal hearts, which I discerned as representing the Holy Trinity—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Above the windchime, there was a plastic cover for the home’s phone system with the word CORNING emblazoned on it. While this might seem ordinary to others, I immediately thought of Jesus’ words to Peter in John 21:17: “Feed my sheep.” The word Corning—feeding corn to livestock—felt like a divine confirmation of that message.

As if that wasn’t enough, in the lower-right corner of the panel cover were the letters MFG. While this abbreviation likely meant “manufacturer,” I couldn’t shake the conviction that, in this context, it stood for Message From God.

The Profound Interpretation

This scene wasn’t random. It was divinely orchestrated.

  1. The Lock and Key: Symbolized the authority and responsibility God entrusts to those who walk in faith. For me, it was a personal reminder of Simon Peter’s role as the rock upon which Christ built His Church—and a call for me to embody that faith and leadership in my own life.
  2. The Crystal Hearts: Represented the unity and purity of the Holy Trinity, a reassurance of God’s love and presence in my journey.
  3. Corning: A direct nod to Jesus’ command to Peter to “feed my sheep,” reminding me of my duty to nourish others spiritually.
  4. MFG – Message From God: This was the ultimate confirmation that what I was witnessing was sacred and intentional, a divine communication tailored for me.

At that moment, I understood what God meant by “see and not just look.” To truly see requires discernment, faith, and the willingness to believe that God is always speaking—even through the smallest details of life.

The Spiritual Lessons of Seeing

1. God Speaks in the Mundane

The windchime, hearts, and even the letters “MFG” were all ordinary objects. Yet, when viewed through the lens of faith, they became extraordinary. This shows that God’s messages don’t always come in grand visions or miracles—they’re often hidden in plain sight, waiting for us to see them.

2. Faith Requires Seeking

As Jesus taught in Matthew 7:7, “Seek, and ye shall find.” The act of seeking opens the door to deeper spiritual awareness. By listening to God’s call to “see,” I was able to perceive His message and feel His presence in a profound way.

3. We Are Called to Feed His Sheep

The reminder of Peter’s mission to “feed my sheep” wasn’t just about Peter—it was about me, and perhaps all of us. It’s a call to provide spiritual nourishment to others, whether through guidance, service, or simply sharing God’s love.

4. Seeing Requires Preparation

God prepared me for this moment by repeating the message to “see” in the days and weeks leading up to it. He often works this way, planting seeds in our hearts so that when the moment arrives, we’re ready to receive it.

Living the Lesson: Don’t Just Look, SEE

This experience changed me forever. It taught me to approach life with spiritual eyes, looking beyond the surface to recognize God’s presence in every detail. Since then, I’ve embraced a mission to grow Moringa Trees—the Miracle Tree mentioned in the Bible—to make crackers called Tokens of Kindness. These crackers, representing God’s body, will sustain righteous believers who refuse the mark of the beast. This mission, too, came from seeing—not just looking—and responding to God’s call.

How to Open Your Eyes to God’s Messages

Pray for Discernment: Ask God to help you see His presence in everyday life.

Be Present: Pay attention to your surroundings and the small details—they might hold divine meaning.

Trust Your Intuition: If something feels spiritually significant, take it seriously.

Seek and Ye Shall Find: Be intentional about seeking God’s voice and guidance, knowing He promises to reveal Himself to those who seek Him.

Conclusion

God is always speaking—it’s up to us to see and not just look. My encounter with the “key” windchime was a turning point in my spiritual journey, a reminder that the divine is always present, guiding and sustaining us. By opening our spiritual eyes, we can recognize His messages and step fully into the purpose He has for our lives.

Are you ready to see? Don’t just look—truly see, and let God’s light illuminate your path.
